Interested in UNITE?
It's quite simple! There are no GPA requirements, attendance requirements, or trip requirements. Each member's experience is created by personal decisions regarding time commitments and dedication. We believe that having these kinds of requirements for membership degrades authentic participation and creates an attitude of, "I'm doing this because I have to," rather than, "I'm here doing this because I want to."
So what has to be done? NOTHING! Just show up!
We do ask our members to pay a chapter due of $20 annually before participating on any trips.
Dues cover bus trips and workshops including transportation, housing, the actual workshops/events, and some meals. The dues for our chapter go to our Treasurer, Daniel Zeh. Go to the UNITE National tab above to pay national dues (recommended) for more urban programming, mentors, and resources.
